Schools around the globe shuttered to slow the spread of coronavirus. Students and educators from kindergarten to college found themselves unexpectedly learning and teaching at home and online. Many have been required to adapt to new technologies and virtual learning environments with little preparation or support. Others do not have the broadband access or hardware they need to participate. To ensure all students are able to get a quality education, the United States must address fundamental issues related to digital equity and access, educator support, and adapting to remote learning.

CovidX is working to define persistent problems with clear areas of opportunity. We are especially interested in problems related to digital equity and broadband access, the role of parents in home education, tracking learning outcomes, smart restart strategies for schools, and alternative education models. We’re interested in connecting with those framing the problem or offering solutions: Reach us at covidx@luminary-labs.com.
